Tinsel House Studio is a versatile interior design studio with a penchant for breathing new life into older properties. We offer property makeovers and furnishings throughout Truckee-Lake Tahoe, California.
Tinsel House Studio is a one-gal show owned and operated by expert interior design consultant, Raegan Twisselmann. Whether designing a classic Tahoe Gambrel, mountain modern new construction or a quintessential lake front, Raegan has an affinity for creating impressive and whimsical spaces on any budget.
Raegan offers much more than safe, basic, elementary designs. She specializes in creating eclectic spaces that balance modern luxuries with a vintage, nostalgic twist. She particularly enjoys refreshing longer-lived properties while keeping the vintage vibe alive. Raegan treats each space as if it were her own and even incorporates one-of-a-kind décor she’s collected over the years into her work – you won’t find sterile cookie-cutter design in a Tinsel House property.
From furnishings to partial and full property revival, Raegan works exclusively with her clients to deliver their vision while providing their spaces a second (or third) chance. She believes life is too short to not love the spaces you live, work, unplug and entertain in. Her key to unique design is keeping it simple with the main pieces while not taking things too seriously with the decor. Color & texture are a must in order to keep the proper balance while also maintaining interest.

About Raegan
Raegan grew up in the central coast of California and earned her bachelor’s degree in art and design from San Diego State University. After college, her degree led her to focus on hospitality design in the Las Vegas market, as she worked for a leading soft goods design and manufacturing company.
Raegan and her husband have personally renovated, built and designed several of their personal homes over the years and have a deep understanding of budget and time management, the selection process and keeping trade contractors on deadline.
As the onetime owner of a vintage second home and a recent full-time Truckee resident, Raegan knows how to renovate and furnish a property to transform it into a vacation rental or year-round family residence. As a wife, momma and business owner, she knows exactly how to blend functionality into her designs, so beautiful spaces also meet family and business needs.
